Paula Patton’s Biography

Paula Maxine Patton was born in Los Angeles, California. Living across from 20th Century Fox studios exposed her early on to the entertainment industry. While attending Alexander Hamilton High School she participated in stage productions and developed her love of acting. Following graduation, she enrolled in the University of Southern California Film School’s three-month documentary production assignment making documentaries for PBS while doing production work on the Discovery Health Channel series Medical Diaries. While she enjoyed being behind-the-camera directing, acting is something she also craved doing on-screen work despite enjoying producer and director roles so she decided to attend the University of Southern California’s film school despite enjoying this career move.

Patton first made her acting debut with a small role in the 2005 romantic comedy Hitch. Soon thereafter she appeared in the 2006 drama London and then appeared alongside OutKast members Andre Benjamin and Big Boi in Idlewild. Additionally, in 2008 she co-starred opposite Kiefer Sutherland and Kevin Costner in the political dramedy Swing Vote while also making appearances in Deja Vu and appearing in Robin Thicke’s music video for this song titled Deja Vu.

In 2009, she returned to television in the crime drama series Runner and later scored a regular role as Detective Angela Kellogg on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit; however, its run only lasted 10 episodes before it was canceled. Patton later starred as the title character of the short-lived ABC series Baggage Claim as well as appeared on the VH1 show Single Ladies as a guest star.

Paula Patton has earned numerous nominations and wins throughout her career. Not only is she renowned as an actress, she is also an award-winning singer-songwriter – writing songs for other artists including Usher on his 2004 album Confessions as well as Robin Thicke on various albums.

Paula Patton can currently be seen starring in Warcraft, set for release this December. Additionally, she has held major roles in Precious and 2 Guns; an actress known for taking on challenging projects. Her talent and hard work have contributed to numerous award-winning movies and television shows, while she remains an advocate for the rights of women and children. Furthermore, she has made numerous charitable donations to various organizations.

As an actress and humanitarian efforts have made her an admired member of Hollywood, her dedication and success have become legendary in Los Angeles. However, this success did not come easily; actress Angelina Jolie sacrificed much of her personal life for her profession; Robin Thicke has supported her through it all while they share Julian Fuego, their son together. They live together in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles.

Paula Patton’s Personal Life

Paula Patton may be best known for her brief romance with actor/singer Robin Thicke, but she has also maintained an active career onscreen. Her acting skills earned her roles in movies like Deja Vu (2006) and Baggage Claim (2011); Precious (2009) garnered her an Academy Award nomination, only for Gabourey Sidibe to beat.

Paula and Robin were an iconic Hollywood couple known to make an impressive entrance at red carpet events like New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Poiret: King of Fashion Costume Institute Gala. They are seen here at an appearance they made together in 2007.

Although they loved one another deeply, things did not seem to be going smoothly in their marriage. Rumors of an intense sexual life emerged between them; there have been reports alleging Thicke’s abusive treatment towards Paula.

They made efforts to repair their relationship, participating in co-parenting therapy to learn how to communicate better between themselves. Unfortunately, however, their turbulent union eventually resulted in divorce proceedings.

Patton eventually won temporary sole custody of their son Julian Fuego after Paula filed charges of infidelity and physical abuse against her husband, although he denied them.

The boy has different musical tastes than his dad — he prefers hip-hop and rap and is particularly fond of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. At the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards, he managed to convince his dad to get him a picture with Cardi and Megan!

Although his parents divorced in 2014, they continue to co-parent their son. Both Robin and Paula can often be seen together at events and support one another’s careers; Robin is currently working on his next album while Paula will soon begin filming for a movie called The Do Over with Adam Sandler.

As well as her work in Hollywood, actress Michelle Rodriguez is dedicated to charitable causes. She has worked with organizations such as African Millennium Foundation and Children’s Defense Fund; additionally, she served on the Board of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office.

Julian has appeared in several of his mom’s films, such as Hitch and Deja Vu. Additionally, he appeared in the comedy Baggage Claim and the action thriller 2 Guns. Julian is also an avid supporter of his father and often attend award shows together.

Even though their relationship may not be ideal, it’s no secret that these stars were still able to agree on custody of their son after an intense custody battle. After months of back and forth between them and an external entity claiming ownership over him, both were finally able to agree upon an arrangement that will enable co-parenting for years to come.
